Our final stop on our adventure was Indiana Dunes NP to meet up with Josh and Gio. Arrived in time for a sunset hike to see the sea caves. Then the smoke rolled in and our boat tour got cancelled. Took the ferry to Madeline Island instead. Luckily, we found Tom’s Burned Down Bar, which really has burned down twice and served up lots of wisdom as well as beer.  -Mary Camping

The scenery here is just amazing, driving along the overlooks was a treat. We hiked the Notches, which included a cool ladder, the Window, and the Door trails. Day 1Drove to Jenny lake for a quick 10 mile hike up to a waterfall, then drove up to signal mountain summit – dramatic view of storm over Tetons. On the way back stopped at carefully renovated little chapel from 1925, still in use for Sunday services. Ended the day with dinner and a campfireDay
