First day at Joshua Tree National Park.
Did 3 hikes today!
1st, was the Hidden Valley Nature Trail. The trail traversed through 55-acre, boulder-enclosed area historically famous as a legendary, early 1900s hideout for the “McHaney Gang” to hold stolen cattle.
2nd, was the Barker Dam which actually had no water now but was once used to provide water for a ranch and cattle.
3rd, was the Wall Street Mill Trail, that once processed Gold.
All together about a 6 Mike hike.
Final adventure was a 2 hour Star Observatory Presentation by the National Parks where we learned about Stars, Galaxies, Constellations and the Universe!
