We spent the day exploring the Petrified Forest National Park. Arrived the night before at a Harvest Host near the south entrance to the park.
In addtition to seeing the Petrified Forest, we hiked on trails visiting ancient Pueblo ruins and viewing the Petroglyphs at Paper Rock.
Route 66 used to go through the park in the past.
