We said goodbye to Big Bend NP today and drove to the Carlsbad/Guadalupe National Parks on the border of Texas and New Mexico. Our home for the next 2 nights is to be a large parking lot, owned by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and completely free! It’s located in the desert on a wind-swept plain, surrounded by mountains and a rancher’s curious cows. We are truly ‘boon-docking’ – no electric, water or external hook ups to the campers.
